Wetsuit Repair Patch Kit
.
Peel and stick repair instantly! - Long lasting - at least 50+ uses of the wetsuit (basically two seasons) has been tested and still no sign of repair patch failing!
Directions:
Clean area to be patched and let area dry.
Peel away paper backing from patch.
Apply patch over outside of wetsuit tear.
(Optional) Apply additional patch over inside of wetsuit tear for additional strength.
Kit Includes:
Two repair patches 3.75"x2.9"
and *1mm thick.
Patches are peel and stick and are designed to be extremely flexible and long lasting. They are also stretchy so that when the wetsuit stretches, they too stretch. They have industrial strength adhesive for a strong lasting hold. No drying time required!
Disclaimer: some neoprene wetsuits have a special inner lining layer that is ridged and not shiny/smooth like standard spandex neoprene fabric coating layers. If your wetsuit has such a inner layer, just patch the outer layer and don't bother patching the inner layer - it won't stick to that type of non-standard, non-shiny, non-smooth fabric. Tape can't stick to non-smooth textured fabrics because it can't get a firm hold into the little pores and ridges of non-smooth textured fabrics.
*Note to buyer about thickness:
I have recently been receiving some complaints about the patches being too thin. I created prototype patches of thick, medium, and thin varieties. I chose the thinnest version by design because the thicker the patch, the easier the edges can be snagged and rip the patch off. A thin profile minimizes the chances of an edge beginning to peel. The patches are not meant to be a thick padding but rather are meant to bring two edges of a puncture or tear together and create a waterproof seal. Also can be used to cover a area that is becoming thin and needs reinforcement. If you want the patch thicker, feel free to cut it in half and stack it to the desired thickness. Please message me if you feel a thicker patch would be a better product and explain why. From my point of view the thinner patches are far superior. It would cost me no additional money to switch to a thicker version of the patch. I chose the thickness that would last the longest and hold the best.
